Jointly with the CCCM/NFI/Shelter cluster, IOM is supporting the coordination of the return and reinsertion of internally displaced people from Mpoko, the largest IDP site in the country located next to the runway of Bangui International Airport.
On 13 June 2015, IOM handed over six rehabilitated classrooms at the Lycee Moderne de Bouar in western Central African Republic (CAR). The Regional Governor of Nana-Mambéré Province presided over the ceremony that brought together local government leaders, UN agencies, NGOs, community leaders, local media and residents.
IOM has facilitated a dance workshop for some 50 vulnerable children from across Bangui as part of its European Union (EU)-funded Community Stabilization Project in the Central African Republic (CAR). The children live at Fondation Voix du Coeur, a home for some 200 vulnerable children of different ethnic and religious backgrounds, including street kids and orphans.
A group of 30 students has graduated from a First Aid training course supported by IOM’s Central African Republic (CAR) Community Stabilization project. The graduation ceremony took place at the CAR Red Cross HQ in Bangui.
On Thursday (14/5) IOM and the Alliance Française jointly launched a one-week theatre campaign in Bangui in the Central African Republic (CAR).
